While global platforms served the English-speaking corporate segment, INConnect targeted the vast middle layer of Indian professionals: small business owners, freelance consultants, government employees, and regional enterprise workers who needed professional connections but found existing platforms alienating.
Cydez Technologies built INConnect as a Flutter-based mobile application with a Firebase real-time backend, designed for performance on mid-range Android devices — the dominant hardware in the target demographic. The platform featured verified professional profiles with Aadhaar-based identity verification, real-time one-on-one and group messaging, job discovery with smart matching, industry-specific forums, and a content feed optimized for mobile consumption.
The Aadhaar verification integration was particularly complex, requiring compliance with UIDAI guidelines, secure biometric data handling, and graceful fallback for users without Aadhaar. The real-time messaging system was built on Firebase Realtime Database with end-to-end encryption, supporting text, voice messages, document sharing, and video calls. Within six months of launch, INConnect had over 50,000 registered professionals across 12 Indian cities.

Existing professional networking platforms were designed for Western markets and failed to account for India's unique professional culture, vernacular diversity, and mobile-first usage patterns. INConnect needed to feel native to the Indian professional — in language, in design, and in the connections it facilitated.

Discovery
Conducted field research across 8 Indian cities with 500+ professionals from diverse segments. Mapped professional networking behaviors, language preferences, and device capabilities. Defined the Aadhaar integration scope with UIDAI compliance advisors.
Design
Designed a mobile-first UI optimized for mid-range Android devices with limited RAM. Created a visual language that felt distinctly Indian without being stereotypical. Prototyped the verification flow, messaging UX, and job matching experience.
Development
Built the Flutter app with Firebase backend, Elasticsearch-powered search, and Aadhaar verification API integration. Developed the smart matching algorithm using collaborative filtering. Implemented real-time messaging with E2E encryption and media sharing.
