For this engagement, Cydez deployed Interface360 across an 80-outlet pharmacy chain operating in Kerala and Karnataka — one of the most demanding retail verticals due to drug licensing compliance, batch-and-expiry tracking, and controlled substance regulations.
The chain managed over 14,000 active SKUs across outlets, each requiring batch-level inventory with expiry date tracking and automatic near-expiry alerts. Drug licensing compliance mandated that every sale be traceable to a batch number, supplier invoice, and drug license. The existing billing systems were standalone desktop applications with no centralized visibility — headquarters had no real-time view of sales, stock, or compliance status across outlets.
Interface360 was deployed with a 72-hour offline mode, ensuring uninterrupted billing even during internet outages — critical for outlets in semi-rural locations. The platform included GST automation with e-invoice generation, a loyalty engine for customer retention, and deep integration with the chain's Oracle ERP instance via MuleSoft for centralized financial consolidation. The rollout was completed across all 80 outlets in 14 weeks.

How we delivered this project
Discovery
Audited 12 representative outlets across urban, semi-urban, and rural locations. Mapped 14,000 SKUs with batch structures, documented drug licensing workflows, and benchmarked existing billing speeds. Identified Oracle ERP integration requirements with the finance team.
Design
Designed the POS interface for speed — under 3-second billing for a 10-item cart. Created the offline-first architecture with SQLite local storage and conflict-free sync protocols. Mapped GST tax rules for pharmaceutical categories.
Development
Built the Electron-based POS client with React frontend, Node.js backend, and MySQL cloud database. Developed the MuleSoft integration layer for Oracle ERP sync. Implemented the loyalty engine, batch tracking system, and drug license compliance module.
Launch
Rolled out in 4 waves of 20 outlets each over 14 weeks. Each wave included hardware setup, data migration, staff training, and 2 weeks of parallel-run with existing systems. Zero billing downtime achieved across all outlets.
